Can't recall if this has been said but the drum intro is remarkably similar to Cannibals live from the GH tour.  I can visualise Ianto having fun with this on stage à la Corned Beef last tour.  This may replace it in the set in fact.

Hi, I just want to share a thought came into my mind while I reading this...
It makes me think it is possible the last verses contain double meaning and saying here about Mark as "skydiver" :lol

"When I need to take a break from the "brushes and the knife" (think of a guitar hidden here - "six blade knife")
"And I always took a fancy to the ones heading straight into the teeth of the guns"
("took a fancy to" as to Lucian Freud from this song or as to others from many of his songs).

It took me a number of years but I finally properly listened to this song and it is beautiful! I really enjoy how Mark sings (and holds the note) for "sky... diver" and the female backing vocals are nice complement too.
