Its been quite a while since my audio system was hi-fi. Now it is more of wi-if. (willing if in the mood) But my faithful DVD player and a set of headphones do the trick. However, I will not comment on the audio fidelity, because the songs are somehow imprinted in my brain, and the audio signal acts more as a memory stimulant, than a source of information to be analyzed by my brain. As such I find that the vinyl edition with the sorter versions of 4 songs (WoL, RATR, TMTS, OW, BiA being the same on vinyl and CD as well) is more solid. The extra minutes in the songs (SFA, MFN, YLT, WW) don't add much to it. As a matter of fact they make the songs a bit tiring, since they are only repetition. (with the possible exception of YLT intro). MFN is even better in its even shorter edit from MFN compilation and even the BiA edit on the same disk has its merits-but I still prefer the longest version. Of course when I found out in 1990 that the CD version had extended versions, I jumped train, but still, I find the shorter versions tighter and solid. The new reissued in double vinyl, actually have the longer CD versions.
