Hello all. Not posted on here for a while but read regularly. My tuppenceworth on the Bap album for what its worth. I think its great. Maybe lacking an uptempo number here or there, but extremely enjoyable and, of course, excellently produced. The flute solo in Jimmy Sanchez is one of the most gorgeous things I've ever heard. I've enjoyed bap's music for a while and the bonus CD is an excellent sample of his older solo work. All in all, a really great piece of work. My only teensy weensy gripe-ette is that he maybe overplayed Mark's contribution in the marketing ahead of release. Mark is stated to be playing guitar in several songs. He may be strumming in the background but he is only really identifiable in Shimnavale, the title track and the right stuff (which is a rehash from a previous album). His production is clear to hear though. For those (and there will have been some) who bought the album primarilly because of MK's participation, it may have come as somethimg of a disappointment. But it's Bap's album, not Mark's and I think its great.
