Cover versions
« on: November 26, 2011, 01:20:57 PM »
Just been told by Doc that Mark does not do cover versions of songs on his own records. Fair enough. Just wondering though, if he was to do such a task, what would be the top six songs you would like him to cover? Me:

1] Forever young - sounded so good, this would be brilliant
2] Comfortably Numb - great Knopfler sound at the end
3] Let It Be - enough said
4] Cocaine - EC
5] Chris Rea - Road to Hell
6] Life's Been Good To Me - Eagles

Enter Sandman-metallica
Seasons in the Abyss-Slayer
All along the watchtower-Dylan
Like Dylan in the movies-Belle and Sebastian
Let's get it on-Marvin Gaye
Love and Happiness-Al Green
Careless whisper-George Michael
Stop breaking down blues-Robert Johnson
Wild horses-Rolling stones
Right time wrong place-Dr. John
Bike-Pink Floyd
Behind blue eyes-The Who
I took her love for granted-Hefner
Sit on my face-Monty Pythons
Green Manalishi-Fleetwood Mac
Before the beginning-Fleetwood Mac
The fire-Television
Dream the dreamer's dream-Television
Comfortably numb-Pink Floyd
Reality-J.J.Cale

And about another hundred songs!!!
I have included 3-4 songs that are not MK style, but maybe it would be interesting to hear what he could do with them!!!
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
