Calling Elvis - was only ever performed properly on the OES tour.  Without the pedal steel and extra percussion it sounded terrible.

Listen to 96's version again.

Always hated the '96 versions and '01 versions;  the pedal steel guitar is an integral part of that song I feel.  The extra percussion helps too.  I also don't think the LP suits the song.

PLEASE, no "Our Shangri-La" again or I'll personally climb up onstage and rip out MK's whammy bar!

Aaaah, yes, the whammy bar... ;D

I could help if you really would.... 8)

I'll hold him down for you while you rip it out!  Bonus is it'll stop him doing SFA too!  Who's gonna hold back PC?  Anyone...? ;D

I hope someone is brave enough in the US or Canada to videotape one of that shows if us, the europeans, wants to see the band playing with Tim and Michael  :(

I hope that audio  recording will still be authorized.

Or that Mark will deal with THEMUSIC.com and provide 2010 show in lossless quality
And re-release a bunch of 2005 ones and release some 2008 as well...

Audio recording is authorized as far as I know, because their reasons to forbid the video recordings are that they disturb the band and the enjoyment of the other people in the audience, and audio recordings is very subtle with the new minidiscs and mics  :)

Forget minidisc... there are many hard drive / compact flash recorders out now that can get the job done.

Yes, but ensure to invest in a seperate mic because the built-in ones are usually rubbish and certainly not up to the job of recording a music concert and are for speech only.  You must remember to check whether your machine has phantom power to the mic or not before you buy the mic because if it doesn't then you'll need a battery operated mic.

I wasn't sure where to post this and I didn't want to start another thread but I have just discovered this little video of the Band from TV, a charity band whose name is self-explanatory I think. Anyway you can see my favourite TV doc playing a mini guitar called Mandocaster; you think this could be a nice addition instrument-wise for MK's band?  ;D
