Mark seems to be smoking during the whole interview, and you can hear him blow smoke right into the microphone.

He does a lot of work for charity but he doesn't like to talk about it

And he's very warm in his comments about Jack which is interesting.

Yes, I thought his answers were refreshingly straight from his heart, and there are some insights that were new to me at least. In this period in his life and career he seemed to be at peace with himself and was really creative and productive.

Again, I'm struck by the fact that Jack is definitely IN the band at this point (in Mark's mind), and yet a couple of years later he is out, just like that, never to be referred to again 

As said above, Mark sounds relaxed here, but mentions being overworked. He also mentions enjoying getting the band back together for Mandela.
