Why September 22 for the last show?

So, this is my question. Mainly because Paul Simon also had his latest tour ending exactly on September 22nd. Is that a Jewish connection or something? It's interesting to me why two of the best songwriters of our era decided to end their two different tours a year apart from each other.

By the way, although Paul Simon has officially retired from touring, he already did a couple of TV appearances and announced a proper odd show on August 11. Imagine the demand for this show! The way to go for retired musicians — quality versus quantity.
