Just saw the news about that. Sad to hear.

His music is great for summers like this.

I loved the album 'Miracle'. Some great MK guitar, and Willy's amazing voice.
Very sad news. :(

I am in search for "Miracle" for years. I liked especially the track "Southern Politician", with MK always playing the same one riff, but with a awesome drive in it from the start to the exciting end. Great track.

Bad news...

I remember recently watching a video from a Willy de ville concert, playing "Storybook love" live, and introducing the song with not very kind word to Knopfler. I recall him telling he was now "nobody" and before he was "money for nothing and chicks for free"

I found that video

It seems that the Miracle sessions were very very difficult to him and he never was happy with that, I recall reading a story about him singing just for fun "Material girl" by Madonna, and Knopfler going crazy "You have to record that" and Willy told him something like "Leave me alone, I wanna make my damn record"

There is a video from that period, with subtitles in french, which shows MK with Willy

RIP Willy deVille. You were too young to die! :'(

Hey what a coincidence Pottel!  ;D

The Princess Bride is on TV in my country at Monday - RTL8 at 20.30.

For those of you who didn't watch yet, please do, it is a nice movie with beautiful music!  :P

I bought Miracle in a second hand shop on a trip to London years ago. To be honest, I don't really think it's a very good album.

However, Spanish Stroll is an all time classic.
