So my wife, as a nurse, was taking care of an elderly British man who happened to book bands in London, back in the day. My wife, knowing my MK obsession, asked him about Dire Straits. All he said was "bunch of potheads!". Got a good laugh out of that one.

haha, on one hand I'm not suprised, seeing some footage of early interviews ;-) I thought however MK was pretty much against doing any kind of drug. It's the first drug-related reference with Dire Straits that I ever came across (pretty odd for a rock'n'roll-band, I know). Didn't he even do an anti-drug campagne in the 80's?
