I wonder how Mark felt about Sgt Pepper, and The Beatles in general. Are there details of Mark's musical preferences in the Sixties, and how he was developing in his own? We know Mark attended one of Bob Dylan & The Hawks watershed live concerts in his hometown Newcastle in 1966 (a recording of which only surfaced last year).

I seem to recall him saying that he did like The Beatles (everybody did!) but really he preferred the more blues based groups like The Stones, The Links and The Animals.
