...well, yesterday actually, 3rd May 1996, that I first saw MK live at The Capitol here in Aberdeen.

Dusty, how I envy you!     I saw the Golden Heart show at The Town and Country in Leeds and my claim to fame is that I stood next to Ed Bicknell and he signed my programme!

Still probably the best gig I have ever been to. Only other contender would be 1st night Albert Hall 2013. Ed wasn't in Aberdeen, I asked MK where he was for some reason! But Mariella Frostrup and Adam Faith came out the stage door as well (Faith was performing in a musical in Aberdeen that night).

Do you remember what they played?

They basically played everything! Full Golden Heart set Inc Portobello Belle, Water of Love etc. Memory is hazy however and I can't recall if they played Long Highway or not.

Love it Dusty!  These old clippings from local papers covering concerts and releases are great! IMHO.

It would had been so great to have MK playing in your town Dusty... I'm very glad it happened and you attented it!

It was supposed that MK should had played in Valencia, my town in 1996, during the GH show, but the concert was cancelled after some genius noticed that the bullring was double booked for the concert and a bullfight. The Spanish promoter moved the concert to another city, Logroño, and the bullfight took place in Valencia and that day, a bull killed one of the bullfighters...

Mk could had saved his life

No more clippings Julio but I have seen the plaque, it's in the pub. Pennan is about 40 mins drive from where I live. Nice little village but really very similar to lots of other little villages round here.
