Sarbacane / Communique
« on: January 02, 2016, 11:29:52 PM »
have you ever noticed a small similarty between the riff from "Sarbacane" (Francis Cabrel, french singer, 1989) and the one from Communique ?

Communique is in A and slower, while Sarbacane is in B, but played with a capo in A shape, and a bit faster

Of course the Cabrel riff is very common, as a typic A shuffle, and can be found in many folk-rock american songs, but every time I hear it, I think to Communique which is by far more subtle and more complex, but in the same vein imho

Yes JF I have always wondered why I loved Sabarcane so much,  now you gave me the answer!!! It is one of my favourite song of Francis Cabrel!! I saw him on stage couple of years ago. It was also one my dream... But JJ Goldman also got very much inspired by MK!!

Great to know that Michael Jones is a Fan of DS. Thanks  for this info as well. I like him also as a  Musician. Too bad that his solo career doesn't work so well. He made an album and a Tour 2 years ago!! People always see him as the guitarist of JJG!!!
