Mark knopfler do not like to take pictures with his fans?

Strange this change of attitude that happened at the beginning of this century, he was more open in the 90's

Do you have a theory on why he has changed his attitude? And do you have some examples of how he did change?

I have no theory but was reported one or two times that Mark was openly signing and just abruptly turned feet the second someone took a camera out.

I think, he is cunning a little, having at that every reason to be satisfied with the way he looks. 
Just feels uncomfortable, being a focus of attention. Can't you see all those apparent attempts to drag out someone else onto the stage, whether Nigel or Ruth, to make himself as inconspicuous as possible and switch attention to them?

It does'nt surprise me because he doesn't want his picture to be posted on FB or Twitter!! And he doesn't like to sign autographed picture either. They said on his site that they stopped to send them to the Fans!! Well it's his choice and I understand him!! If he said yes to one then the others would be frustrated!!
