Haha Herlock. Nothing announced, no applause, no-one noticing something was going on on stage. Sounds like not really a supportact.
As far as I know is the meaning of a supportact that the mainartist wants to show you music you should pay attention to. Seems not the case here ;-)

here are some precisions form my colleague :

An artist played at least 30 mn on a keyboard and a computer on the right half of the stage. He played on some Beatles songs, adding sounds and noises… a kind of DJ-electro performance. It did not appear as a first part because there was no light and no announcement. But It actually was it. Even if most of the people did not even noticed, and even if it wasn't mentionned on the ticket. Someone in the crowd said "come, there is a first part" maybe because he heard of this, or because he saw other gigs of the same tour before ?

Strange, no lights as well. Wasn't it just a roadie setting up some stuff for the performance, I am really starting to think it's like that.

There was the same in 2004 but there was also a theatrical troup on the stage.

Ok, I was far away from the stage, but I can tell you this: if this was a support act, that was not a lively one ! it really felt like radio to make you patient ! no introduction, no applause, no nothing ! I confirm that nobody seemed to notice !

I can understand you, Paul McCartney never toured Australia from 1993, but we talk whole different things here.
Never tour or tour once is fine, but deliberate neglecting with all same league stars touring in our country is not fine.

Cancelling the almost sold out gig for "political reasons (read: because I want to)" is just demonstration one doesn't care about others. No responsibility for one's fans, finally. This is the point.
