Hello everyone, great site here.
I`ve asked this on a few forums with zero reply, does anyone know if Alchemy will ever be released on DVD? Or why it isn`t?
Who can i petition or implore to make this happen?
Cheers.

It seems that an official release of the Alchemy DVD is not planned by the management. We already ask around for years as well but I think it's not priority at all. So I'm affraid we have to deal with a converted video. But we keep hoping and who knows what will happen.

No one is officially selling a converted dvd. It would be illegal. The only thing to do is to grab a copy of the vhs and make a back up copy on dvd.

Alas, i don`t know anyone these days with a working VHS player. Still, this thing needs to be done, so i will try and buy a brand new copy of the vid & take it to one of those convertor shops. Thanks for the info.

And don't forget to add Love Over Gold from "the Very best of Dire Straits" DVD.
