I was listening carefully to the words of RPD last night. Just got a new cd player with great sound. Since RPD/Golden Heart are my favorites, I thought I'd inaugerate the new player with one of those.
For a change, I actually thought about the words. Both Old Pigweed (my favorite too, Pottel) and Coyote have at least two levels of meaning. MK blends them so skillfully that you hardly realize it, unless you think. It's nice to listen to just the surface meaning, but when you take time to think about his metaphors, wow!!!!!!! The songs become even more powerful. I really like the keyboard on Faretheewell, Northumberland!! I repeated that one a couple of times.
