Enjoy Val!!

And now I read the forum after my weekend in Germany (not MK-related) and France (2 shows) I can confirm that it was Mike's in ear that drops out every time.

Especially Dijon was an excellent show in my opinion. Hot again, but loads of energy from both the band and the audience.

I'll go and see Mark read the telephone directory [...]

I'll expect a live setlist!

I already know the "number" he's kicking off with:

1. A. Aaronson  1 Anderson Road, Aberdeen...123 456   ;D

Well, that one could be skipped due to very long-winded, boring, technical 'musician' reasons.

 ;D ;D ;D

LOL

I know I'm just a simpleton from the land o' the lochs and a big bad monster, but please explain them to me!

Something like "I'm sorry, can't comment on that one."
And she's sitting in her Lusso, in the early morning sun.

I was at the Straits last year in Tilburg and it was a great concert. Sure, it's not the guitarplaying of MK bit it's nice atmosphere, well played

Margarine is ok when mk is not having a tour (better to say I didn't go to the US so no tour for me) it was around the corner. Met some dutch mk fans again and had a great night. I also like to go to a pub when there's live music. It has good atmosphere if they are good or not. I am not taking it that serious, for me it's all about enjoying a good life, with nice friends in a good atmosphere.

I know what you mean Ingrid and I've been to tribute bands before with a Doors mad friend, but when it comes to the scale that The Straits have come to and using ex members to promote their status then it becomes more of a matter of principle with me now.  I no longer regard them as "just" a tribute band.

I'm with Ingrid on this.  If this is the closest to hearing some great DS songs and TOL, I guess I could enjoy it.   :)

Only Mark can do it for me - no-one else can give me that special thrill and excitement.   I'm more interested in Mark's solo work these days and if I really want to hear old DS songs, there are always the recordings of the real thing!   :)
