How vinyl records are made!

I am a vinyl junkie and I thought that some of you might like to see a small film (part of a bigger documentary ) of how a vinyl record is made. Not the mastering, but the cut. Enjoy!

Have been purchasing a fair few old records recently.

Anything cut before 1984 will have no 1s or 0s in the process, and you can get all kinds of warm variations depending on the condition of the vinyl.
You hear a tangible difference in sound and the records are so cheap!

Hi Fletch! There are a few records before 1984 that were digitally recorded, like Ry Cooder's "Bop till you drop, from 1979-which was the first record with a considerable hit to be recorded fully digital-and states so on the cover! I think that Steely Dan had tried but gave up, due to the quality of the technology. But you are right, they sound so much better and they are so cheap (the mass produced ones, or the undesirable-otherwise they can fetch high prices) you can't let them go.

And the artwork was amazing!!!  ...I am still trying to locate my Rolling Stones LP collection (as well as my original Making Movies LP).  I had the original Sticky Fingers (with the zipper) and the "3-D" (hahaha) version of Their Satanic Majesties Request.  Must find those!!!

Cool! I had no idea about Mr Cooder doing that.
I bought BDs Infidels in the weekend, looks to have been virtually unplayed (looking at spindle marks etc.), for $12AU - that's aprx 1 Euro or 2 Million drachmas in today's market (only kidding).
But yeah, old records are cheap cheap cheap and the artwork and inner gatefolds are very cool also.
Even dodgy scratched up records are great, all the 'snap and crackle sounds' make me think I'm next to a campfire. Even then, the warm sound is loveable!!

Do not quite agree with this list, because although most of them are iconic, they come from famous bands containing great music and therefore left their sleeve imprint in part due to their success. Will search for less known bands.
