I guess you know this guy...
« on: September 29, 2012, 09:47:26 PM »
Hi, don't know if this has been posted before, at least I am not aware of it. I guess Isaac doesn't mind if I post it here on AMIT after they obviously had no reservations to put it onto YouTube last year. I LOVE this version to be honest, this lady has an astonishing voice. I def. would buy a record from her.

I thought about how great this song works on this rather melancholic level, too. Mark has made it a little bit grumpier, but that is only a sign for a really great composition. Isaac plays better than he sings (I am sure he would agree), but the idea of doing this as a duet is really nice.

LE, I moved your topic to the "Almost Straits" forum as it's more appropriate there.

The girl has a very nice voice. Sorry, Isaac, nothing against you, but I'd love to hear a version just with her singing...  :)

I agree, that's a really nice version. I think it works well as a duet, Leora has a beautiful voice and as for Isaac's singing - you don't have to have a great voice to sing MK songs!
When you point your finger 'cause your plan fell through you've got 3 more fingers pointing back at you.

I really liked this version - it was nice to hear it performed differently to the one we are accustomed to hearing.   Leora's voice was beautiful and I liked Isaac's voice as well, it was very touching.  Just one minor criticism - I feel it went on a bit too long at the end, but apart from that it was lovely.    :)

Dan, my first intention was to put it there, too! So it is absolutely ok! The guitar sounds solid but played clean and powerful. As said before, the mood that these two capture is really touching.

I saw this cover in the day when it was uploaded and it's just AWESOME!

I prefer it to all this covers done by 'sweat-band and strat' guys. Less show off, more music.

Well through this version I can see the country influences on SFA as well. Nice voices and guitar playing. Well done! I wish Mazy star did such a redition as well!
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
