... Dylan (is supposed to have?) said about Mark back in the day. I guess he was referring to Mark's vocals.

Listening to the recordings from the current tour, I can't help but notice that Mark has a much more aggressive vocal style, like a rough snarl at times. Influenced (again) by Dylan?

ADDED:

So what do YOU think is the reason for added burst of energy, zest, aggressiveness, mojo?

Showing off in front of Dylan?  Maybe wants to attract new fans to buy the new album and is using this tour to get some from Dylans' fanbase;  would explain why he is playing the new songs.  Or maybe he has been listening to some of the Simfy recordings from the last tour! :o

dmg, that's pretty nasty. Would you imply that his singing was bad on the last tour? In general, I thought it was great. And yesterday he not just sounded great, but really awesome... His phrasing and intonation during Sonny Liston for example was really good.

No, no - just posing some suggestions.  In no way am I saying that any of these are true or my opinions but they may be possibilities.  Personally I think the last couple of tours have been fairly lacklustre.

The air condition was off and he caught a cold. That  should explain his voice, Dylan's too.  ;D
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

I think he suffered so much during the last tour that he's making up for it with this one.  Guy said he (MK) was in better shape than ever.  I imagine having more days off helps, too.
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright
