Thanks for the info TWM.  The French single is 4:17'' and the last  verse completely omitted. A poor solo to fade out instead. To complete the info for Pottels archives (in case there is a such a gap... :lol) the French edition has Animals (man gave names to all the animals) as the A side CBSS 7954.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

It's an awesome song, that's for sure. Nasty lyrics and tasty guitar licks. Should have been on the album, of course.

Thanks. "Trouble In Mind" is an odd song to team with "Man Gave Names To All The Animals". The latter was, as I recall, was some kind of hit in France, so I guess that there are a fair number of copies of it around. I also seem to recall that Dylan, when he heard that it had been a hit, played it in that night's show. Also, there is a children's picture book of the song's lyrics that includes a CD of Dylan's recording of the song with a lovely painting of parrots on it.

Getting back to when I played "Trouble In Mind" in the car today, I immediately knew that I had heard the "keep my blind side covered" lyric before, so, somewhere or other, I do have the recording with that on. I'll have to think about where it might now be located.
