Monaco, Lyon, Nimes : French airports on strike

Just heard on french radio that air traffic controllers will start a strike tomorrow evening  
Don't understand these people going on strike every other month.
Between Tuesday evening and Thursday morning they announce up to 50% cancellations.  

Cancellations but also delays and .... a huge mess.

If you're going to Lyon or Nimes (Monaco should be because the strike starts Tuesday evening), please be aware of this unexpected news.

And all the time the strike is about money.
Don't they know economics? Don't they know that strikes cost a lot of money, and when there are losses in the company they won't get more money. So better not strike, work hard and there will be profit AND they can get more money
