Hi everyone!
I'm new here and I felt like sharing something I created.
It's a fun project I've been working on, trying to play songs like other artists have written them.
Since Mark Knopfler has been a big influence on me I've tried a couple songs with his particular guitarplaying style.
Anyway, I thought it'd be fun to share on here and I hope you like it! Let me know if you think I did it any justice.

That's a bit on the "parody" side but it's a really good one, it sounds spot on. Some note choices are really interesting, very knopflerish. Well done!

Oh it's definitely all in good fun. Thank you!

Yup, good fun. Of course, MK has played Layla with Clapton a time or three.

I thought it sounded great. Applying MK’s style to Clapton’s song (whilst wearing a Guy Fletcher style shirt)
Fab job.

I loved it from the first listen. You know a thing about the fun of playing guitar, sounds very original and organic, not the usual cover cringe and I am sure Pavel has not detected it yet and will give you a proper and enthusiastic review on it soon enough. I saw that you did the same ith some other songs, too. May I request Brothers In Arms in Pink Floyd style, please.
Thank you a lot for posting. It was good fun and very much needed.

Finally got to this video to watch it. Yes, definitely cool stuff! The thing is, even Mark himself never really "invented" this style, some J. J. Cale songs sound like Mark was playing there, he got lucky to be in the right place at the right time with the right talents. What I mean is that every time somebody uses this style to create something original or never played before, or rethink songs, like in this video, it sounds cool. Cringe comes in when somebody is trying to copy MK exactly, without even attempting to change anything.

Awesome stuff, haha!!! I love it

Anyone read Guy’s comments on these videos? I was right about the shirt.

Haha! Thank god nobody ever mentioned me on Guy's forum. Not only I'm not playing anything original, but my shirts game isn't strong either... :lol
