Does anyone know if Mark speaks German? I was just listening to the Berlin SBD and he spoke a few sentences in German, just as he did in 1980 in Dortmund or Cologne 1979. Did he have German lessons as kid in school or maybe picked it up from his father (although Hungarian would be more likely).
My guess is he can speak and understand a little but maybe not fluently.

I read somewhere quite recently that Mark's father read Der Spiegel at home, so I would be surprised if Mark didn't know some German, even if it's just a smattering.You are right, I still have a copy of that interview!
He also said that he likes the saxonian dialect.

In the Myles Parker book it doesn‘t mention any german lessons.As entertaining as it may be,bit ain't no mk Bible...
