While I was searching for some info about John's children (in connection with the thread about the little kid on Mark's lap), I came across this article from 2013, where it says John is selling a beautiful apartment in Australia.
In it is a little piece of "saucy" information:
[The apartment] was bought after Dire Straits' 1986 tour of Australia, with Title Tattle recalling reports by then gossip columnists of Illseley's relationship with the former Penthouse Pet of the Year Tracey Wallace.
Illsley's marriage went on to the rocks when his wife, Paula, heard Tracey had moved into the Point Piper flat, according to a 1988 column by Dorian Wild.
"A stunning brunette with a willowy figure," Wild wrote. Wallace had been Australia's Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1980.

We do discuss Mark's private life (to a certain extent), so why not John's?
I guess my point, if there was one, was that I found it interesting to read a bit about DS and one of the founding members during DS' peak. When we ask Guy about that era, he always keeps the cards close to his chest. Maybe the clean DS image was a litte too clean after all?
