One of the best shows of the tour, if not in terms of set list. Better than Basel the following week IMHO.
-
Yes, compared to Woburn Abbey, Basel is an 6/7 (judged as points)

Nice to hear Mark say more than "heeeeeeyyyyy" and "thank you" too 😜 I love the Woburn Abbey show. Sultans is killer!
-
Great pics. I especially love this show as I went to it. Ive still got my dire straits car park ticket that was issued.

Hmm on the second picture Mark looks not so happy...strange :think

Mark was definitively not an happy man at the time of OES.

I think so too, the picture captures the feeling rightly :-[

He may not have been happy, but his playing during this era was pretty smoking hot...that MK2 Pensa....he could really play that thing!

Why?
Mark seldom shows his feeling

Well documented band troubles, and from very early in the tour.

His marriage was disintegrating around this time. Also MK and JI financed the tour and initially at least it wasn't successful with shows cancelled in Australia.

That's an interesting point. I didn't know that MK and JI financed the tour. I thought that the OES tour was very financially successful. :think :hmm

The tour lasted from 23 August 1991 to 9 October 1992, and included 229 shows in 19 countries throughout Europe, North America, and Australia
