Guys
Not ure where to put this thread...
Anyway I thought you may like to have a listen to what I've been doing this afternoon after I had a rather nice session on one of my MK's this afternoon...
The MK (SE00860) is played through a Fender Mustang II amp with 57 DELUXE and a bit of delay on board and it's an official Hank Marvin Backing CD too...
Do hope you enjoy...

Thanks Knopflerfan. Great to see you again strutting your stuff! Well done. :thumbsup

Thanks guys - those were all first takes so I'm pretty pleased with them!
Mind you I really enjoyed twanging the MK though.....

Thanks LE,
do you know I got the hint while listening to Mark last Friday. He had mega 'Delay' programmed on his amp so that's what I've done with mine and I love it...

Needs a Tremolo arm mate ;) especially for Apache. Great work :)
-
Can't stand the tremelo mate, anyway SE00860 doesn't wobble as its fixed! May try wobbling on SE00616 some time...
-
Haha :) well this is what you're missing out on...

I love me some subtle 'wobble'. As Hank says "its great when you run out of ideas..."
Anyway thanks for your vids, you inspired me to break out my RE-20 Space Echo and dig into some surf tunes this morning, great fun. I love your MK sig too - I just missed one on eBay some months back for a shockingly low price, oh well!

great tone Knopflerfan ! :thumbsup
but I agree with Fletch, shadows tunes have to be played with the tremolo arm, AND with a pick ;)
the funny thing is that Knopflerfan plyas it with a pick but without tremolo arm, and Flecth with tremelo arm but with fingers :D
maybe by playing together you could get closer to Hank's sound ;D

Gonna try a tremelo soonio (SE00616) and the four tracks were played with a pick!!
Yep I like that tone too - thankyou (only by listening to Mark set up his gear last Friday!)
