Dear all, see attached picture: the room in Zwolle is not yet fully (!) booked.
I calculated that about 2500 seats are sold, there are about 5500 seats available... grey is occupied, blue is available (obviously...)
I wonder what the influence on the concert will be, when the room isn't packed! (Sound, mood, atmosphere...)
I stitched the picture together: each part of the hall can only be seen separately when booking tickets, so that's why it looks so crappy..
If someone, upon seeing this picture decides to help filling the room, but doubts about ways to travel, feel free to contact me!
(Zwolle has good train connections to Amsterdam (Schiphol airport 1,5 hour), Rotterdam (Rotterdam-The Hague airport - low cost cariers 2,5 hour), and also Eindhoven (Eindhoven airport - Ryanair2,5 hour). It would be difficult however to travel back to the mentioned airports after the concert, so a hotel is probably required.

Not sitting any further then row 6 so this is a no go for me ;(
-
Well, the first 20 rows are occupied, then the center block is occupied, so it is not completely empty...
What do you mean, Pottel, when you say "no more than row six?" Do you still want a ticket, as I may have one available at row three, PM for that one
-
Mmmmm,....noooooooooo.need to limit myself, but thanks!

I think most Dutch attendees bought tickets for Ziggo Dome as it was in the tour dates from the beginning. Zwolle was added just a few weeks ago. It's likely they will not buy another set of tickets for another show three weeks later. I won't go to Zwolle as it's too far away for me, just like Amsterdam. Usually I go to Cologne, Brussels or Antwerp. ;)
-
There were a lot of seats available in block C a couple of days ago. They are now gone... So maybe after the Amsterdam concert there are a lot of people buying for Zwolle.... Hoping to hear Sultans! ;) ;) ;D

the ijsselhallen are a few halls all together.
In which hall will the concert take place? I think it's the AAhal ??

This is a shame! maybe they should put the prices down for these places?
What should MK do whit a halffull arena?
And good question arjen, which hall is it?
-
if the concert is in the old hall i think the acoustics will be bad....very bad.. :thumbsdown
i hope i'm wrong but i think i'm not ... :hmm
if it's in the newer section ..well things might be a little better who knows... :think
is there anyone who knows which hall they will use??

I guess the AA hall will be used, based on the pictures on their website. That hall was built in 1990.
I got tickets for row 5, which is just fine by me :-)

Or maybe they should stop playing in Dutch towns that no one's ever heard of?
:think
-
Zwolle show was a replacement because of free capacities after the Russia shows were cancelled. So maybe that's the reason. Fans already had booked via pre-sale where they want to go and there are a lot of shows in that area, Europewise seen! (Amsterdam, Bremen, Antwerp)

One concert in Ziggo Dome is equal at wat MK normal does, 3 times HMH in Amsterdam..
This one in Zwolle will not be sold out i think...... :think
-
Also perhaps Ahoy Rotterdam was a better choice if availible.....
-

Well, check out wikipedia and you can remove Zwolle from your "Dutch-town-I-need-to-know-more-about-list"! :D
(Zwolle, a province capital, is bigger and has more inhabitants than Luxembourg, which is a capital of a country - and that was sold out..)

Quote LE: "Fans already had booked via pre-sale where they want to go and there are a lot of shows in that area, Europewise seen! (Amsterdam, Bremen, Antwerp)"
That is true LE! People living at the German border can travel faster to cities in Germany then to Amsterdam, which in my case took almost 3 hours! ;D
I won't attend the concert in Zwolle because I already bought tickets for Amsterdam and London for me and my husband. IF I knew before that he would visit the Northern part of our country like Zwolle or Groningen, then I would prefer to attend a concert in one of those places instead of Amsterdam. It will be cheaper then because we don't need to stay in a hotel that night.
Last week my son and his girl-friend have been to the IJselhallen in Zwolle for a concert of Meatloaf. He thought the quality was very good!
It might depend where you are standing of sitting, but it doesn't have the quality as the HMH or Ziggo Dome has, because the Hall is also used for other activities! ;)

If the hall is half filled maybe Mark will yell to the audience again: "We are going to play for a long time!". Like he did when he played in Groningen, during his Golden Heart tour. That concert hall (Martini Hal) wasn't filled either. Though back then his name wasn't familiar among many people. Everyone knew Dire Straits, but Mark Knopfler didn't really ring a bell. That is why on the CDs there were always stickers with something like "The voice and guitar of Dire Straits".
Anyway, I am not worried yet. Still 3 weeks to go. I am sure alot of people will do a last minute booking. And they probably do some promotion activities in the last week. Like an add in the local Newspaper or whatever. And if the hall isn't full.. don't worry, then I will make enough noise to compensate for the empty seats. :lol

Good for you guitarman, that's the way to do it !!! :)

The concert is in the AAhall, the largest and newest hall, 6000 seats...

Almost 3000 tickets sold. I think there are approximate 5500 seats for sale.
-
Hm, interestingly enough, it seems that either a lot of seats have been sold in a day :disbelief , or they're reducing the number of seats (and possibly reducing the lay out of the hall...) Below you can see available seats, yesterday evening, may 23rd, as compared to a day before on the 22nd.
-
They cut the tribune seats off clearly. And G,H,I are maybe sold to promotors or available for pricewinners?
-
I believe there was some promotion this week. People asked me if I go to Zwolle so they must have heard or read it somewhere
-
Bern is missing instead. Or Geneva and Basel.
Who wants to go to L
-
Just checked the booking site: 12 seats available on row 3,4,5 in front of Richard/Mike.

He mentions it on almost all bootlegs from '96 I have. Must have been a joke or no concert was sold out... :lol

He said it this tour again on some shows ;)

-

Isn't Zwolle on a friday? In the "Who is going where" Thread the complete June has wrong days...

On my way to my work this morning I saw a big MK-poster at a busstop with an advert for the gig in Zwolle. Seems that they are trying to sell more tickets.
I will take a picture of it on my way back.

I live in Kampen, there are a lot of those posters in the bus stops
