Listening to the bootleg now. Not the greatest version of WII; singing "took a magic stick from my hotel!" Also a greenie in the first solo. :-[
Anyone else noticed that he's started missing out more lyrics in this song? First of all it was Charlotte Street, and that really got me because I know that place and the hotel he is referring to so it means something to me - I've walked along it a million times, now "cold on the tollgate" just before "God knows what I could do with you."
I think it makes the song sound a little less urgent and flowing if you know what I mean. ???
-
Just listening and I think he mixed up the lyric of YTC - magic stick/walkingstick! ;)
btw I heard him sing both "cold on the tollgate" and "God knows what I could do with you", the second time, although the latter was somewhat muttered! Apart from the small greenie, I did enjoy it, though. :)
-
Thanks for posting the videos. Sonny Liston sounded excellent. Man, does Mark have an aggressive vibrato!
-
I really enjoyed this concert, especially SL, HFB and Marbletown. Sonny sounded very strong! :)

The "cold on the tollgate" part should be sung twice though:
Cold on the tollgate
With the wagons creeping through
Cold on the tollgate
God knows what I could do with you
He's now started to miss out the 2nd one. Then there's Charlotte Street, which coincidently I just crossed this afternoon!
-
Well, it's his song and he's entitled to sing what he likes! :)

Hey hey! I was watching the "Tangled up in Blue" vid, and It looks like Mark actually changed what he was wearing to fit into the all-black of Bob's band! Or maybe I'm just late to pick up on this.
Man, an MK guitar solo would sound so good in this song, especially with those great chord changes leading up to the lyrics "Tangled up in Blue". Sensitive as Mark's solos are to the changing chords, you know it would've sounded good.

I noticed that too, PP! ;D

I have to say I really like what Ian is doing in these clips. It seems that he was holding back when he started out with Mark. Great playing now.

One of the best show of the tour ! Sonny Liston, Marbletown great work, but the emotion is on Kingdom of gold, Glenn Worf and Ianto are fabulous and Mark is keeping the dogs warm and will release them in the next tour with this amazing new blue Pensa ! can't wait
