AMIT atendees:-
No one
No one ? I'm not so sure about that ;) ;D ::)
I was so excited to go to Rome that I couldn't sleep, I woke up early, checked my bag, had a few coffees. Of course Nespresso Roma today. What else ?
Now I'm almost ready to leave and I have time to post a few words.
Hopefully I will sms setlist during the break. :)
Regarding Bob's part, I won't be able to recognize the whole setlist :P but will do my best to post some information.
I will review asap. Maybe only tomorrow afternoon when back home.

If you would have gone to the gym also, I would have thought of reading another diary entry of Richard B.!!!
;D
I wish you a great night in Rome, enjoy and have fun! 8)

I can do it in Guy F. style. Can't say.
Indeed I've decided to try to comment a little more because the forum is quiet these days. Very few information showing up.
I didn't review my previous shows and when I could find time to do it was too late to be interesting. :D
Will do it differently this time. 8)
LE, please wish me good luck to have WAM tonight ;)
You wish you had WII at one of your shows. So we have opposite expectations :-\
Only WII these last two tours for me...
Anyway, it doesn't really matter. I'm very happy with the current setlist. ;D
Marbletown or THC is already worth the money.
I really have to go now ;)

Thanks :)
Wish to bring back a recording of it ;)

They're dancing in the streets of Rome right now and not just because MK's in town! PM's resigned. He was good value; I loved it when he couldn't recall Obama's name at a conference! ;D

Rome turned upside down. Was it Marks or Bobs performance that Berlusconi decided to resign? ;D
-

1. leopard skin
2. don't think twice
3./4. things have changed
3./4. spirit on the water
5. hattie carroll
6. desolation row

I just arrive at my hotel.
personal message to Jbaent : Taxi nightmare was nothing in glasgow. Rome is worse. :P
Tonight it doesn't matter. I'm very happy because I've had a great evening an I could do what I come here for.
Sorry the audio recording failed but what I have looks way more interesting ;)
A quick word about Bob. Mark played 3 songs only. THC was very good.
Once again song#2 was ruined- Now I know exactly what it means to have Mark and Bob on guitar. It was like Mark was not playing.
I really enjoyed Bob's show except 2 or 3 songs.
Must go to bed now and catch a very early plane. Will review tomorrow. ;D
-
Mark played 3 songs only.
So Guy gave the wrong info this time, obviously he didn't watch the BD part by the side of the venue. Thanks for the correction, tunnel85!

Maybe Guy lost count as it seems like Bob and Mark are playing two different songs sometimes ;)
-
No, Guy got it right, I think you mixed it up: The last diary entry is about Florence and not about Rome, the Rome entry is coming up...
At Florence, they DID four songs indeed...
Tunnel85, pity that you didn't get lucky last night, so it was What It Is again. :'( Boy, how I wish to have been able to listen to it on this tour live! :lol
Well, I hope the evening has not been spoiled too much by this?

About MK with BD on italian shows:
Padova - 4 songs
Florence - 3 songs
Rome - 3 songs
-
Thanks, Farco.
Not sure about the three from Florence however. Guy, ER, and Local-Hero.org talk about four songs. But I do not know what's the original source ...
LE
Edit: (three however's in one post are a little too much me thinks, two have been erased, and one source corrected...) :lol
-
OK, let's wait for recordings.

I would like to start my reviews with that pic taken during Marbletown. ;D
I like that part of the song between John & Glenn. Thousands of captivated people are waiting for the final signal to launch the outro.
Definitely one of my favorite moments of the evening, Mark standing nearby and enjoying, like all of us, the subtile dialog between bass and violin.
I think even God up there stopped what he was doing. ;)

I hope I can take pics (and more ;) ) tomorrow in Geneva.

Oh, that is VERY exciting news about the moving pictures ;D Thank you, Santa :-*
Photo 3667 in your flicker album is an amazing action shot -- fantastic to catch that second in time!
For some reason, this reply is posting within the quotes --- first time that ever happened ???

No need to be sorry. ;)
I was only joking with LE about WII/WAM.
True that i'd like to see WAM again (last time was in Berlin 2008, 8 times WII since) but no big deal.
WII is great this year and I absolutely enjoy it. :)
I was supposed to write a review to explain that but you know, there's only 24 hours in a day ....
It was fantastic in Rome.
The entire setlist is fantastic.
-
Indeed. Man I love this year's Sonny Liston.
-
Whaauwww Tunnel THANK YOU for sharing the BEAUTIFUL and ........hhmmmm fantastic pictures :P
Also Maroretto and Pensaboy THANK YOU very much for sharing those videos, they are great as well!
I love watching! :P

Super Video

I absolutely love this video of Sonny Liston. Mark is so powerful and Ian is fantastic on the drums. I thought no-one could replace Danny on Sonny, but I was wrong! ;)
-
Indeed. Man I love this year's Sonny Liston.
It's not a patch on 2006 version. His new LP has a nice bluesey sound on it though.

Yes, I agree, the 2006 versions were great, but I was very impressed with some of the ones from this tour! BTW The new LP is a very pretty colour! ;D

Think a DVD of this show will soon see the light of day, or so a little birdie told me....

no way, not even the london shows seemed to have been foreseen for that.

Agree. It was a wonderful show.
Clearly the one I enjoyed the most during the tour.
Definitely my best pick. 8)
When did Pottel say it would see the light of day ? "Soon" ?

Was there, all the way from Oporto, Portugal. MK's set was great, altough there were some problems with Ianto drums, more precisely the snare drum.
