I'd say its a cross between Harrison Ford,Jack Nicholson aka heres Johnny,David Carradine,Mark Hamill & Humphrey Bogart - the only thing is that none of them ever played Jamie ::) ::) :o You were probably looking at a best of the 70's over the weekend with a skinfull on board :P :P

He apparently got bad advice from his agent who told him there was no life left in the series and to leave the role to concentrate on other roles! I take it he got fired shortly after that advice! ;D

Until now I assumed that it was Lazenby himself that was fired.

He was too wooden and director Peter Hunt guided him through the film but he was realistic in the fight scenes. Perhaps too realistic according to some of the stuntmen who claim they took real punches from him! ;D
It would have been interesting to see how he progressed though. :-\

Okay, the James Bond of all James Bonds, IMHO, Sean Connery. However, I'm enormously taken with Daniel Craig.
