Correct answer was 287...
My answer: 300, and not a winner

Bad luck for me :-\ :'(
-
Ooh, think my bet was around 250 so not far off.
-
I had 194. Very far from the truth (chosen at random, I had NO idea whatsoever)
-
Hmmmm.
Mine was also 300.
Very good I think...
;)

Hello Steinei,
Not good enough :-\
-
Maybe the winner had 280 or 290
:(
-
Mine was 289 and it was not good enough to win, so I guess the winner had exactly the right number. :disbelief

Well, first of all, hello to everyone here and thank you for animating this wonderful forum, that i follow from a long time, though this is my first post here. I hope you will excuse my bad english.
I AM the LUCKY WINNER of the string competition!!! :o :o :o
My bet was 286, if my memory doesn't fail. I'd love to say that i knew and counted how many instruments they had and how many cords each, but it would be too close to a lie. :disbelief I was just so terribly lucky, and you can imagine how many times I've read and re-read Guy's post about the winners... :o :P :)
Ciao a tutti.... and thanks again for this forum, and all the hopes and the love that we share about Mark's works.

-
Congrats K-alberto & welcome to the best MK forum around.
I had 256, a complete guess as I couldnt tell you how many strings in a packet of spaghetti :disbelief :disbelief :o :o
-
Congratulations, K-alberto and also welcome to this wonderful forum! :)
W/M - Thank you for cheering me up on this rainy morning with your great sense of humour, which is really needed at the moment - end of tour, etc! You made me laugh! :-*
-
Thank you to everybody, I'm so pleased to be among all of you! ;)
Regarding the "spaghetti competition", my answer would be that there is NO RIGHT ANSWER because it all depends on their thickness (there are many different types of spaghetti, and so the number in a single packet can vary a lot!)
??? :P

Presidential Welcome to you Alberto and congratulations!
I think what we all want to know is how long are all the 287 strings put together?
