Many thanks for your email; Radio 2 has a couple of versions that of the track that it plays.
There is a the version of Sultans Of Swing where Mark Knopfler says “Good night, thank you” near the end, this version was never commercially released, there is also a version without “Good night, thank you” near the end.
Radio 2 actively plays both versions.

There is in fact a difference concerning the line "Good night, thank you, now it is time to go home":
"Good night" is on all three sultans studio versions (album / single / demo), but the "thank you" is only on the single and demo versions, the album version just is "Good night, now it's time..."
