There must be a big DS fan working at Corrie :) good thing too, plus its only fitting that Sultans is played in the Rovers, its about a pub band.
I've just e-mailed ITV about this, and they sent back an e-mail saying they have forwarded my e-mail to the Corrie production office :) so, we'll see.

Just got this back from the Corrie people:


Thank you for your e-mail regarding the back-ground music used in Coronation Street. The Directors of the episode chooses all music and it must fit the
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Lady writer was played again last night :o :o :o

For any of you sados (including me) that might have recorded it on sky + (wifes idea just in case she misses it) it was played in the backround when Roy came into the Rovers to tell them that the young fellow had been injured in Afghanistan ::) ::)

Someone really likes DS in there - I'll bet you Pottel 8) got a job loading the jukebox :o :o
