:) Very Nice! Good to see an, honest hard working and enthusiastic Tribute Band enjoying performing the Music of Dire Straits and also Mark's solo work. Plenty of energy and good sound as well!! Keep up the good work! It's young enthusiastic guys like you that will keep the Great song book of MK going long after he stops playing live!  :) :)

As we walked in we heard a band playing which turned out to be a tribute band set up on a stage outside the venue. They were playing Why Aye Man and I have to say I thought it was recording of us...until that is they got to the breakdown section. I actually met some of the guys at the meet and greet, nice chaps.

Well, that band was Brothers in band!!!
Strong praise indeed! I respect Guy's musical taste based on his vast knowledge and experience, and he is also not one to heap false praise on someone who is not deserving of it!

I must admit I never gave a lot about tribute bands as such. I like the way Wolfgang Uhlich from dIRE sTRATS plays very much, but always had problems with the singer and his voice...

But Wow,

this band is really great! That guy is totally airy and cool! Just listen to his voice from "You and your friend"!  :o I also like it very much that he really is imitating Mark's gestic, talking and whole habitus! They are really fans! And the band plays well indeed. They are all inspired by the On Every Street tour it seems, but I also found Lady Writer, Why Aye Man and others. So thanks for the post, very much appreciated!  :)

Although I'm not a great fan of tribute bands, I was very impressed by this one!    :D

I still remember in a spanishcity afterparty (after MK Madrid 2001 concert) Oscar Rosende took the stage and played, all alone, many of the Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler classic with his red Fender Stratocaster...

Wow, that was  A B S O L U T E L Y   I N C R E D I B L E  ! ! !

If you have the chance to attend any of the shows they play, do it, its totally worthy, this is what a tribute band should be.

Very well played indeed. I'm not so sure if I like the "clone" thing though. I think it can very easily become a parody. I don't really know how close to the original you must be to qualify as a tribute band, but I would think making the music more your own material would make things more interesting for yourselves and the audience. Just my opinion. But like I said, what you do, you do very well.

I think that a good tribute band may "clone" the band, its like the "Musical Box" that do that with the Peter Gabriel
